The beauty world came together on Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 to honor two decades of artistic achievements, celebrate the winners and discover the style setters of tomorrow at the 20th Annual Contessa - The Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Awards.

The night's big winner was Mount Pearl, NL native Marjorie Clarke. Clarke captured the most awards winning Canadian Hairstylist of the Year, Elite Master Hairstylist of the Year and Atlantic Hairstylist of the Year.

Marjorie Clarke of Hair Force Salon and Spa took home two North American Hairstyling Awards. The most prestigous award of the evening, North American Hairstylist of the Year, was awarded to Marjorie as the grande finale of the ceremony in Las Vegas. Also awarded to the salon and spa owner was the North American Long Hairdresser of the Year 2005.
